With his new piece for the Grossman Ensemble called Winged Helix, composer Stephen Andrew Taylor explores the protein FOXP2 and its implications on language for creatures from birds to whales to humans.
The Grossman Ensemble, the resident ensemble of the Chicago Center for Contemporary Composition, premieres Taylor's "Winged Helix" Friday, March 13 at 7:30 pm in the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts.
