For the 2023/24 season, the CHIME Studio (Chicago Integrated Media Experimental Studio) will present two instances of CHIMEFest, an annual celebration of electroacoustic music produced by the CHIME Studio at the University of Chicago. CHIMEFest I showcases works and practices that explore the theme of intermedia, highlighting compositions that creatively employ multimedia in both conceptual and thematic ways. The concert will feature local ensembles, and present works by UChicago composers, alongside pieces by prominent figures in electronic and electroacoustic music.
